C.3. Offline machine translation engines for Kurdish refugees

Translators without Borders, a not-for-profit focused on spreading knowledge through humanitarian translations, has developed offline machine translation (MT) engines for Sorani and Kurmanji, the two main languages spoken by Kurdish refugees. The project was a collaboration with the open source Apertium MT system that is maintained by a team at Prompsit, a University of Alicante spin-off in Spain.
