G. INSIGHTS

G.1. Translate your book: Think big, share globally

There are many books about relationships, self-acceptance, love and the search for the meaning of life. And there are also those authors who write about significant events, horror, fear and personal trauma. Stories and messages usually serve both the writer and the reader. This is actually a kind of dual dialogue.

H. SNEAK PEEK: NEXT ISSUE OF MultiLingual

The next issue of MultiLingual features a focus on "Pharmaceuticals." If you are a subscriber, this issue will be at your fingertips mid to late July.

H.1. Drug-fueled pharma: A case for mental health by Luke Sewell

Currently most medical translation requests are linked to clinical trial documentation, with psychology including small psychometric testing projects, usually related to qualifying patients or monitoring adverse events during a trial. Indeed, at our company we can count the number of mental health projects translated on a single hand.

H.2. Pharmaceutical drug development by Mark Aiello

The global pharmaceutical market is estimated to be worth $1.6 trillion by 2020. With the development of each new drug, pharmaceutical companies will undergo intensive, highly-regulated clinical trial processes with a unique set of challenges.

H.3. Corpora and life sciences translation by Maryna Koshkina

Say you are planning to participate in projects requiring the translation of pharmaceutical documents containing description of some diseases, and you have never made any such translations before. In this case, you can go to the proven sources such as the World Health Organization website and search for texts.
