Dotsub, a browser-based system for creating and viewing subtitles for videos in multiple languages across all platforms, has hired Nitika Soin as global enterprise sales manager based in New York City.

TED Open Translation Project

Owned by the Sapling Foundation, a private nonprofit foundation, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design and started out as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. The group has introduced a new endeavor called the TED Open Translation Project where volunteers will be able to translate approved transcripts of their favorite talks into their native languages.

TED worked with partners at dotSUB LLC, developers of a user-generated, wiki-type tool designed for translating subtitles for documentaries and other video content.
