Unicode Consortium launches new website

The Unicode Consortium has debuted a new look for its website in celebration of World Emoji Day. In addition to offering a more clear picture of the emoji submission and standardization process, the new website offers information about the Consortium and its mission to enable people everywhere in the world to use any language on any device.
Unicode Ideographic Variation Database updated

The Unicode Consortium has released version 2017-12-12 of the Unicode Ideographic Variation Database (IVD). The latest version registers the new KRName collection and the first 36 sequences in that collection, four additional sequences in the registered Adobe-Japan1 collection, and 674 additional sequences in the registered Moji_Joho collection.

The Unicode Consortium has announced version 10.0.0 of the Unicode Standard. Updates include new scripts and characters that add support for lesser-used languages and the latest version has an additional 8,518 characters, for a total of 136,690 characters. The additions include four new scripts, for a total of 139 scripts, as well as 56 new emoji characters.
Unicode 8.0 Character Database, Code Charts and Annexes

The Unicode Consortium has announced the Character Database, Code Charts and Annexes for version 8.0 of the Unicode Standard. Updates include a total of 7,716 characters, encompassing six new scripts and many new symbols, as well as character additions to several existing scripts.
Unicode CLDR 27

The Unicode Consortium has released CLDR Version 27. Updates include the cleanup of region locales and the addition of data for emoji annotations and an emoji collation.
