ApSIC S.L., a provider of technical translation and software product localization, has announced the availability of ApSIC Xbench 2.8 beta. Additions include updated search capabilities and user-defined quality assurance checklists. Support for more formats has been added, such as translation memories in SDLX and translation files in Déjà Vu, Idiom and Logoport.
ApSIC releases Xbench 2.7 beta

ApSIC has announced the availability of ApSIC Xbench 2.7 beta. Additions in this release include the ability to search corpuses with Google-like queries via its Powersearch mode, support for more formats including TBX, Multiterm XML, XLIFF, or Mac OS software glossaries. It also includes a number of quality assurance-related features for quality-oriented language service providers and translators, including checks for numbers, inconsistencies in segments, or running predefined checks in one step with its checklist feature. Xbench 2.7 is freeware and can be downloaded directly from ApSIC's website.
