LOGOS adds Portuguese resources


LOGOS Group and T&T Traducoes Tecnicas of Portugal have signed an agreement making T&T the Portuguese partner of the group.

T&T, based in Oporto, was founded in 1990, and has worked in the areas of marketing, publicity, information technology, automotive and engineering. T&T will now have direct access to all resources and tools developed by LOGOS. LOGOS will now be able to offer both Brazilian and European Portuguese to its clients.

Logos Group expands to Australia


Logos Group, a language services and multilingual content management solutions provider, has opened a new office in Darwin, Australia. A major project management operation is planned to take advantage of local English resources. The project management team will focus on supporting English-speaking clients in the United Kingdom, Ireland, United States and Australia.

Logos Group on 2006 Europe's 500 Listing


Logos Group has been listed among the fastest growing European companies included in the 2006 Europe's 500 Listing, the annual ranking of high growth, job-creating companies published by Europe's 500 - Entrepreneurs for Growth, supported by Microsoft and KPMG. Altogether, these 500 entrepreneurial companies have managed to sustain growth since 2002, boosting employment at an average annual rate of 16% with sales at 18%. Despite the challenging business environment, these companies have created nearly 150,000 jobs across Europe in three years. On average, each company has created 99 new jobs per year and increased sales by 25 million euros per year. Logos Group is the only Italian company in the translation and localization sector that managed to qualify for Europe's 500.

Logos wins Grands Prix Newropeans 2004


Logos Group, a language technology provider, has announced that it won the Grands Prix Newropeans 2004 in the ”services” category for helping Europeans in multiple languages. Vodafone was right behind Logos in the competition. The ”Grands Prix” aims to reward persons, organizations or projects that significantly contribute to the democratization of the European Union, closing the gap between European citizens and the EU construction. A jury made of 500 representatives of the European civil society selected the winners through an online election in Paris October 22, 2004.

In addition to its translation and localization services and tools, Logos Group also offers a wide variety of free language facilities in its online reference library.

Logos offers Global-ref


Logos has developed a tool to help control terminology and authoring/translation history. The browser-based toolbar gives instant global access to corporate terminology and everything that has been written and translated in the past, along with other useful references.

Global-Ref includes E-Term, Logos' corporate terminology management solution. Corporate terminology is stored on a dedicated Web server accessed with a customized user interface and Help guide. Any glossaries that have already been created within the organization would be integrated into this terminological database. The Global-Ref toolbar can provide on-the-fly access to a company's translation memories.

Other reference options include Logos E-Workflow (a project tracking system), the Logos Dictionary, Wordtheque, the Logos Verb Conjugator and any link relevant to the working environment.

Logos guarantees continued free distribution of WordFast


Logos Group, the majority shareholders in Wordfast Champollion Ltd., announced that, in spite of rumors to the contrary, the Wordfast translation tool will continue to be freely downloadable from its Web site at http://www.wordfast.org. In addition, Logos hopes to make the code available as open source in the near future.
