ELRA adds resources


The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has added an ETAPE Evaluation Package consisting of radio and TV data, selected to include mostly nonplanned speech and a reasonable proportion of multiple speaker data. Other additions include a Danish Propbank, Bulgarian and English GlobalPhone entries and the FAME! Speech Corpus.

IULA adopts ISLRN initiative


The European Language Resources Association has announced that the Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra has adopted the International Standard Language Resource Number (ISLRN) initiative. The ISLRN is a unique and universal identification schema for language resources. IULA has already submitted 107 language resources to the ISLRN.

New ELRA language and corpora resources


The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has added the Khresmoi manually annotated reference corpus, Arabic speech corpus and four Chinese-English and Chinese-French written corpora to its catalogue.

ELRA written corpora additions


The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has added 15 written corpora to its catalogue. The new corpora include, Arabic-French newspaper parallel corpus, Arabic-English newspaper parallel corpus, Arabic-French web domain (blogs) parallel corpus, Arabic-English web domain (blogs) parallel corpus, Chinese-French web domain (blogs) parallel corpus and Chinese-English web domain (blogs) parallel corpus.

The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has updated its catalogue and added the Arabic Speech Corpus and the Serbian emotional speech database.

ELRA adds terminological and speech resources


The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has updated its catalogue and added four Collins Multilingual database resources. The WordBank covers Real Life Daily vocabulary in 32 languages. The PhraseBank covers real life daily vocabulary in 28 languages. The WordBank with audio files covers Real Life Daily vocabulary in 26 languages. The PhraseBank with audio files covers Real Life Daily vocabulary in 28 languages.
