Erin Wynn
Chief customer officer at Welocalize
It is such a great honor to be included in this special issue of MultiLingual magazine. I am proud to be recognized and stand among so many other inspiring women. Having just celebrated my 20-year anniversary at Welocalize I have been reflecting a lot. I really could not have imagined this journey when I first set out into the industry. I am constantly reminded of the immense responsibility that comes with being a global leader. I am passionate and committed to using my platform to empower, mentor and inspire other women in order to create positive change and most important opportunity. I believe together we can create a world where women have equal opportunity to succeed and lead and where diversity and inclusion are valued and celebrated. This is my true passion.
ACCOLADES
I voted for Erin Wynn as she is an amazing, visionary leader in the industry.
I feel lucky to work with her.
Erin Wynn, for me, is someone to look at as inspiration for how a woman can be at the top of your game in this industry. She focuses on the people’s experience, both external customers and internal customers, and always considers the human element to our professional relationships.
Erin is my hero. She has always given her time to support others, especially women, as a role model businesswoman and exemplary mom.
I find great inspiration and motivation from my family and friends. My friends are my family and my family are my friends. They are a source of pure joy and positivity in my life. They have been with me through thick and thin and their constant encouragement and unwavering support has been instrumental in getting me too today. Thank you, always. In closing, I am so incredibly humbled and grateful for this recognition and for the opportunity to be a part of this inspiring community of women leaders. I will continue to work tirelessly towards making a difference in the world.
Erin thrives in companies with an entrepreneurial spirit; encouraging and challenging teams and individuals to be bold, curious, and authentic. She has held many leadership positions at Welocalize and strongly feels that in order to lead you have to experience and understand what challenges others are going through. According to Erin, it’s inevitable that when you put the right people, in the right places, doing the right things you can weather any storm and come out brighter on the other side. She often says: “You can’t have a people experience internally without customers. But customers can’t have a flawless experience without our internal employees. We can’t have any of it without our partners and our linguists. It’s a three-legged stool, and no leg is more important than another. It is a balance we strive for — getting all three of them to thrive together.”
Erin is a WOW (Women of Welocalize) inspiration. She is a mentor, leader and example for all to follow in fostering the best people experience from all angles: empathy, care, attention, support, and most importantly, trust. DEI is not just a slogan for Erin, she creates an environment of safety where people can be themselves without fear. She has grown from starting as an individual contributor to leading People Experience for nearly 3,000 people, because of her dedication to people, work ethic, and commitment to the hard work of building trust.
