LREC 2026 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) – May 11-16, 2026

The ELRA Language Resources Association and the LREC 2026 Organisers are delighted to announce that the 15th edition of the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference will be held at the Palau de Congressos de Palma in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from 11 to 16 May 2026. This year’s event brings together the international community of researchers and practitioners in natural language processing, computational linguistics, speech technology, and multimodal interaction for six days of cutting-edge presentations, workshops, tutorials, and social activities.

The programme opens with two days of hands-on workshops and tutorials on 11–12 May, where attendees can deepen their technical expertise in areas such as corpus annotation, speech technology pipelines, evaluation methodologies, and resource creation. The three-day main conference follows on 13–15 May 2026, featuring invited keynote talks by world-renowned experts, oral paper presentations selected from rigorously peer-reviewed submissions, poster sessions showcasing the latest research findings, and the much-anticipated grand challenges that pit innovative systems against one another on shared tasks.

A final day of tutorials on 16 May offers additional training opportunities, rounding out a comprehensive hybrid programme designed to support both in-person and virtual participation. Whether you work on building multilingual corpora, designing spoken dialogue systems, evaluating translation quality, or exploring language resources for under-resourced languages, LREC 2026 provides an inclusive forum to share your work, exchange ideas, and forge new collaborations.

In keeping with LREC tradition, the conference emphasises the principled evaluation and publication of language resources, ensuring that new tools and datasets meet high standards of quality, reusability, and accessibility. We will also host panels on emerging topics such as ethical considerations in data collection, sustainability of long-term resource maintenance, and the role of AI in resource generation.

Beyond the technical programme, delegates will enjoy an engaging social schedule, including a welcome reception in the historic Old Town of Palma, an excursion to the Serra de Tramuntana, and a gala dinner that celebrates the spirit of international cooperation.

We look forward to welcoming you—either in person or online—to Palma de Mallorca for LREC 2026. For detailed information on registration, paper submission deadlines, and programme updates, please visit: www.elra.info
