Austin, Texas – May 23, 2025 – Boostlingo has released Interpreter Availability, a new feature within its Interpreter Management System (IMS) designed to streamline scheduling by replacing spreadsheets and third-party calendars with a real-time, shareable interpreter schedule.
With this new feature, interpreters can set their weekly working hours, indicate single-day changes, and mark availability as Remote, On-Site, Both, or Unavailable. A built-in notes field allows interpreters to add location-specific context such as “Building 1 all day,” giving schedulers clearer insight into interpreter logistics and preferences.
Administrators and language service staff can view this availability data live within the IMS portal. Filters for modality, availability status, and location enable more efficient scheduling. Any updates made are instantly reflected in the Appointment Viewer, allowing schedulers to confirm availability before sending assignments—reducing booking errors, interpreter fatigue, and last-minute cancellations.

Each calendar update is time-stamped to provide a complete audit trail, which is useful for tracking paid time off, managing compliance, and maintaining transparent scheduling processes. The feature also supports collaboration across multiple departments within an organization.
Interpreter Availability is included in the latest IMS release at no additional cost and is being rolled out to all current customers. Bulk editing capabilities for multi-interpreter schedules are expected in a future update.
