For the GORR team, the beginning of the new year is even more special, because on 10 January 2023, we are celebrating our 10th anniversary. In addition to the usual end-of-the-year activities, this important milestone certainly adds to the excitement and makes us look back on our beginnings.
Over the past decade, we’ve managed to achieve incredible results, and not only in terms of numbers. In January 2013, there were only two of us who started with modest resources, but with a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and the aspiration to help Slovenian companies bridge language barriers and to put GORR’s name on the map of the best translation agencies. The more we learned, the stronger our ambitions grew already in the first years – we gradually started working across our borders and got recognised as an excellent partner for regional languages. Fast forward, today we do business internationally by supporting both Slovenian and foreign companies and cooperating with translators from all over the world. With hard work and constant learning in the past ten years, our dream has come true, and we have become an established name in the translation industry that swears by credibility, quality, and expertise regardless of language or field.
All of this would not have been possible if there were only two of us in the company. Our growth and success certainly happened thanks to the input of everyone who has been part of our team over the past years – from the first employees who helped us build the foundations of the company to those who are part of the team today and strengthen the trust of our customers with their excellent work. A very special thanks goes out to the excellent team of our external co-workers – translators, proof-readers, interpreters, and others, because we could always rely on their support no matter the late hours, tight deadlines, or complexity of projects.
Standing here at the peak of our company’s existence, we realise that this is only the beginning. We are getting more and more ideas, opportunities and skills that fill us with motivation and drive to make new success stories in the years to come.
