Translated reinvested its profits to create a venture capital firm called Pi Campus, which invests in AI startups. Some of these startups were founded by our talent, and some are housed on our campus. We believe in humans, in our people and in their talents.”

What have you learned about human values sailing in the Ocean Globe Race?

“Allow everyone to understand and be understood in their own language to foster human collaboration. There is no greater challenge. And to meet any big challenge, you need to work with people who have the courage to step out of their comfort zones.

We would never have achieved the results we have without an extraordinary team of people. Even the best athlete in the world needs an exceptional team to succeed.

In life, as in business, we can only do so much alone, but as a team we can achieve extraordinary things. During the regatta, I experienced moments of fear due to certain incidents, but I learned that just as in life, courage is what motivates us to overcome the most difficult challenges. Taking a leap, even with a hint of recklessness, is necessary to make significant progress; when faced with a very large challenge, it is easier to break it down into smaller parts. Each day, take one courageous action that, step by step, brings you closer to the big goal you have set for yourself. In this way, the goal no longer appears as an insurmountable mountain, but as a series of micro-steps to be taken each day.

Each day, with an act of courage, you step out of your comfort zone and move closer to the finish line. And in business, that is what leads to true innovation.”
