“We believe in humans” means we believe in people who take on challenges that are a little bigger than anyone thinks are possible, who embrace change with courage and without fear, and who build a better future for all. This also applies to the talent that works with us. Because we know that Translated will only grow if its talents grow and attract other talents, we make working with us an endlessly enriching experience.
We allow people who work with us to spend some time each day learning something new, and we challenge them to turn their ideas into innovative solutions.
Translated reinvested its profits to create a venture capital firm called Pi Campus, which invests in AI startups. Some of these startups were founded by our talent, and some are housed on our campus. We believe in humans, in our people and in their talents.”
“We think of our employees as athletes, and Pi Campus is the place where they can reach their full potential. It’s an environment where they’ll find nourishment for their mind, body, and well-being, allowing them to receive holistic training in their mental, physical, and professional dimensions. Our team can benefit from different sports classes, we have mindfulness classes to help people focus on what’s important, and mental coaches to help each talent flourish. Pi Campus is not for those uninterested in personal growth; it’s a hub that offers everything necessary to foster people’s continuous development.”
“Allow everyone to understand and be understood in their own language to foster human collaboration. There is no greater challenge. And to meet any big challenge, you need to work with people who have the courage to step out of their comfort zones.
We would never have achieved the results we have without an extraordinary team of people. Even the best athlete in the world needs an exceptional team to succeed.
In life, as in business, we can only do so much alone, but as a team we can achieve extraordinary things. During the regatta, I experienced moments of fear due to certain incidents, but I learned that just as in life, courage is what motivates us to overcome the most difficult challenges. Taking a leap, even with a hint of recklessness, is necessary to make significant progress; when faced with a very large challenge, it is easier to break it down into smaller parts. Each day, take one courageous action that, step by step, brings you closer to the big goal you have set for yourself. In this way, the goal no longer appears as an insurmountable mountain, but as a series of micro-steps to be taken each day.
Each day, with an act of courage, you step out of your comfort zone and move closer to the finish line. And in business, that is what leads to true innovation.”
Isabelle Andrieu is an entrepreneur and investor in startups and a mother of three children. Along with Marco Trombetti, in 1999, she co-founded Translated, a translation service provider that pioneered the use of artificial intelligence to help professional translators. Isabelle is also co-founder and first citizen of Pi Campus, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology startups and she serves as CEO at Pi School, the educational branch of Pi Campus.
