What I'd Like to See at the Next Localization Conference

OK, I’ll write a proper Blogos entry shortly. Honestly. But for now, I’d like to put down these ideas because I just know that somebody will try them and claim them as their own. And that would not be fair. So…

The top three things I would like to see at the next localization conference (I don’t actually care which one):

  • A promotional Facebook localization conference fan page game (how about that for a string of modifiers to screw up your Acrolinx IQ rules) called “Which translation tool are you?”
  • Fantasy LSP Management Team social event. Sorry, you’re done with that speed networking. It’s just so unedifying to see middle-aged men trying to be cool when they’d rather be in the bar anyway.
  • Vuvuzelas.

You may be able to think of others. Let me know…
