The 4th Annual Summit of JUNTOS Held in Buenos Aires

T

he JUNTOS Association’s fourth annual VAMOS JUNTOS conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on March 13–14, was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the regional localization community. The event successfully gathered key industry decision-makers; an impressive 82% of attendees were language service provider (LSP) owners, executives, leaders, and senior managers. This high-level turnout fostered unprecedented networking opportunities and high-impact discussions about the future of translation and localization across Latin America.

According to post-event survey data, the conference delivered exceptional value, with 98.1% of participants indicating they are highly likely to recommend VAMOS JUNTOS to industry colleagues. Notably, the event’s core components received stellar feedback: Both the premium venue and the entire speaker lineup earned “Excellent” ratings across the board. This milestone edition also set a new record for partnerships, attracting 23 sponsors and a completely sold-out exhibit hall, showcasing the latest technological advancements and language solutions in the market.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome of VAMOS JUNTOS Buenos Aires,” said Charles Campbell, President of JUNTOS. “An event of this scale and caliber would simply not be possible without the vital support of our 23 sponsors that have been supporting us along the road. Together, we are truly elevating the standards of the language industry in Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Building on this massive momentum, JUNTOS has announced that the 5th Annual Summit will take place on March 12–13, 2027, in the innovative city of Medellín, Colombia. Organizers have already confirmed Lori Thicke — founder of Translators Without Borders and author of Dreamer’s Daughter: Surviving My Childhood and Raising My Father — as a keynote speaker, promising top-tier global insights for all participants.

The anticipation for the next destination is already building among the association’s leadership. “In 2008, Colombia launched one of the boldest tourism campaigns ever: ‘The only risk is wanting to stay.’ It worked because it was true, and it still is,” shared Indy Vega, JUNTOS board member. “Medellín is a city that transformed itself, just as our language services industry is transforming global communication. Medellín, the City of Eternal Spring, represents resilience, innovation, and the vibrant culture that defines what Colombia is today. If you think about it, it perfectly represents what our industry is going through. VAMOS JUNTOS 2027 in Medellín, Colombia — the risk? You might not want to leave. See you in Medellín, parceritos!”
