Manchester-based language solutions integrator The Translation People has added another European business to its growing portfolio, completing the acquisition of Kocarek GmbH at the end of April 2026. The deal builds on last year’s purchase of Transladiem, marking the company’s fifth acquisition in three years and its first in Germany.
Kocarek will continue to trade under its own name and retain its full translation team. The acquisition broadens The Translation People’s reach into the engineering, manufacturing and consumer goods sectors, where Kocarek has built a strong domestic and international client base. Kocarek‘s expertise in developing multilingual chatbots was also a draw.
The deal is backed by Mobeus, the UK-based private equity firm that has supported The Translation People’s buy-and-build strategy since the company received investment in 2022. Further acquisitions are planned across both the UK and Europe as The Translation People seeks to deepen its international client relationships and expand its access to best-in-class localisation capabilities.
