Exploring Africa’s Expanding Role in the Language Services Industry
Imagine a room where policymakers, language professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Africa gather to reshape how the continent engages with the global language economy. That’s what the Association of Language Companies in Africa (ALCA) is preparing for its Annual Conference 2025, scheduled for August 28–29 at the Cullinan Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa.
With a focus on “Navigating the Global Market: Africa’s Role in the Language Services Industry,” the event will spotlight the continent’s growing contribution to the localization sector. Over two days, it will bring together experts, buyers, and innovators for conversations that aim to redefine Africa’s place in global multilingual communication.
A Focus on Growth, Resilience, and Innovation
On August 30, the conference will feature a dedicated workshop with industry strategist Renato Beninatto, titled “Reframing and Thinking Differently: Growing Against All Odds.” This session will offer practical insights for language service providers looking to expand in dynamic, often unpredictable, markets.
