Language in the News – LanguageNews.net

There is an interesting new blog on the web. Language News is a two month old blog that lists the latest news story headlines that have something to do with the scientific study of human language (or linguistics). Begun as an attempt to simply archive news stories that are in one way or another related to human languages, the current page lists articles of interest from sources such as ABC, The Washington Post, University of Sourthern California, Yahoo!, Science Daily, The New York Times, and National Geographic News.

The topics are varied from “Half of Europe’s citizens know two languages,” “Cerebellum found to be important in cognition and behavior” to “Dolphins sing ‘Batman’ theme.” It’s worth checking out.
