Loc Tech Live, a Practitioner-Focused Conference, Launches February 25-26

Global10x announced Loc Tech Live, a two-day online conference designed specifically for localization technology practitioners. Taking place February 25-26, 2026, the conference addresses a gap identified through comprehensive market research: localization professionals want technical depth and real-world implementations, not vendor product demonstrations.

“After surveying 122 localization professionals, the message was clear,” says Kevin O’Donnell, CEO of Global10x and conference organizer. “Engineers, solution architects, and technical program managers want to learn from peers who actually build and operate localization systems. They want to see code, understand what broke, and discuss real production challenges.”

The conference will operate under a strict “no vendor theater” principle, with the tagline “show your implementation, not your product.” Speakers will demonstrate actual systems, share production code, and discuss failures alongside successes. This approach differentiates Loc Tech Live from traditional industry conferences that prioritize strategy discussions and vendor showcases.

Technical Program in Development

The conference program is currently being finalized by a practitioner-led program committee. Sessions will cover AI-ready localization architecture, automation workflows, Git-based localization systems, TMX migration strategies, locale adaptation with large language models, and i18n implementation patterns.

The speaker lineup, featuring practitioners from major technology companies and localization service providers, will be announced in mid-January 2026. All sessions will emphasize real-world implementations, production challenges, and technical depth over product demonstrations.

Practitioner-Led Program Committee

A three-person program committee reviewed 32 submissions using blind scoring to ensure content quality. Committee members include:

Melissa Stringer, Head of Localization, GitLab
Oleksandr Pysaryuk, Senior Manager, Globalization Technology, LastPass
Stefania Russo, Internationalization Manager, Expedia

“I am mind blown by the quality of proposals,” notes Pysaryuk. He added: “looking forward to offering the localization and i18n technology professionals the best value from the event.”

Conference Structure and Access

Sessions will run 3:00-6:30 PM GMT daily (10:00am-1:30pm EST / 7:00am-10:30am PST) via Zoom, with all presentations recorded for registered attendees. The conference will feature approximately 10 technical sessions ranging from 30 to 45 minutes, plus live Q&A and networking opportunities through a dedicated Slack workspace.

Individual tickets are priced at $50, with team packages available. The first 50 registrants will receive “Founding Attendee” recognition, including an exclusive custom sticker collection and acknowledgment on the conference website.

Industry Support

Crowdin and Phrase serve as early Gold sponsors for the inaugural event.

Why Practitioner-Focused Matters

The localization technology landscape has evolved rapidly with AI integration, distributed workflows, and increasing technical complexity. Yet many industry conferences remain focused on executive-level strategy rather than implementation details.

“Solution engineers and localization managers need technical depth,” O’Donnell explains. “They need to see real implementations, understand production challenges, and learn from practitioners who’ve solved similar problems. That’s what Loc Tech Live delivers.”

Early registrants include localization engineers, solution architects, and technical program managers from companies worldwide.
