ATA’s 65th Annual Conference

The American Translators Association held its 2024 conference in Portland, Oregon, from October 30 to November 2. The event attracted over 1,200 attendees and speakers from all over the world and was an opportunity for language professionals to stay competitive in a dynamic industry environment.

International Translation Forum 2024

The event was held on November 8 and 9 in Riyadh and highlighted the strategic importance of the translation industry. Drawing over 3,000 participants and 50 global experts, the forum demonstrated Saudi Arabia’s increasing role in supporting the growth of the translation sector and practices.

Toronto Localization Unconference 2024

Co-organized and co-moderated by Oleks Pysaryuk and Richard Sikes, the Unconference is minimally structured. After a round of introductions, participants brainstorm discussion topics and vote to prioritize them. This year, the hottest topic areas explored various angles of how to chart a career in the translation industry in the face of rapidly evolving AI.
