LEXIGO Becomes a NAATI-Endorsed Language Service Provider Under Australia’s New Government-Authorized Framework

0
LEXIGO

LEXIGO, an Australian translation and multicultural communication agency, has been confirmed as a NAATI-endorsed Language Service Provider under the new endorsement model authorized by Australian, state, and territory governments. The endorsement was issued by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) and is active for a two-year period.

LEXIGO’s endorsement number is 950085 and its status is verifiable through NAATI’s online directory of Endorsed Language Service Providers.

The LSP Endorsement Model is the most significant change to language services procurement in Australia in over a decade. Announced by the Australian Government on 6 December 2024, the model commenced on 24 February 2026. It introduces an organization-level credential that complements NAATI’s existing practitioner-level certification, and it gives federal, state, and territory government agencies a verified procurement signal when sourcing translation services.

To obtain and maintain endorsed status, language service providers must meet six ongoing requirements: engagement of NAATI-certified practitioners with priority given to the highest available certification level, agreement to the LSP Code of Conduct, compliance with cyber security standards aligned to the Australian Cyber Security Act 2024, quarterly service-related data reporting to NAATI, a documented quality assurance and customer feedback mechanism, and a formal practitioner induction process.

Mark Saba, Founder and CEO of LEXIGO, said the model will reshape how government agencies evaluate language service providers. “Endorsement isn’t a marketing claim. It’s a structural assurance issued by Australia’s national authority on translation and interpreting, on behalf of all three levels of government,” Saba said. “For a procurement officer evaluating a tender, the question shifts from ‘does this provider claim to be qualified?’ to ‘is this provider in the directory?’ That’s a meaningful shift, and it’ll embed itself into Commonwealth procurement language over the next twelve to eighteen months.”

Several Commonwealth language service panels opening through 2026 reference endorsement directly in their procurement frameworks.

LEXIGO’s endorsement adds to its existing accreditations. The company holds ISO 17100 (translation services), ISO 27001 (information security management), and ISO 9001 (quality management). It works with a vetted network of more than 10,000 professional translators across 171 languages, serves more than 50 Australian government clients, and operates across Australia.

LEXIGO has published a quick guide to the model and the verification process at https://lexigo.com/naati-endorsed-lsp

Creole Solutions Launches HaitianHeritage.com, a Free Bilingual Platform Celebrating Haitian Creole Language, History, and Culture

Creole Solutions free bilingual HaitianHeritage website demonstration

Creole Solutions, a Haitian-owned, MWBE-certified language services firm, has announced the launch of HaitianHeritage.com, a free bilingual digital experience celebrating Haitian Creole language, history, and culture. The platform officially went live on May 1 to mark the beginning of Haitian Heritage Month 2026.

The site offers a five-week experience covering Haitian identity, history, the Haitian flag and national symbols, the Creole language, and Haitian stories. It also includes a thirty-one-day Word of the Day series, vocabulary cards that explore the Taíno, African, and European roots of selected words, and an original Creole-narrated fable from Nan Jaden Amoni, Julien’s Haitian Creole fable collection.

All audio was recorded by founder Marleen Julien and her colleague, Jasmin Larose, after early text-to-speech testing failed to capture the natural sound and pronunciation of Haitian Creole.

Developed with AI as a co-builder, the platform was carefully reviewed before launch to make sure the language, structure, and overall experience felt clear, accurate, and culturally grounded. The project builds on Creole Solutions’ years of work in localization, Haitian Creole translation, interpretation, and cultural consulting, along with the company’s 20,000+ entry English-Haitian Creole dictionary and original Creole content created for social media, educational programs, and schools in Haiti.

“As Haitian Creole becomes more visible online, we need resources that are accurate, culturally grounded, and built with care,” said Julien. “This is the kind of resource our community has been missing, a permanent online home for Haitian Creole, built by a native speaker with the linguistic and cultural depth the language deserves.”

HaitianHeritage.com is free with email registration. New content unlocks weekly throughout the month of May.

GLOBO Language Solutions and Enghouse VidyoHealth Integrate to Streamline Telehealth Interpreter Access

0
GLOBO Language Solutions & Enghouse Vidyo Integrate

Healthcare organizations can now access on-demand language and interpreting services within their existing virtual care workflows. GLOBO Language Solutions has announced a new integration partnership with Enghouse VidyoHealth that addresses a critical gap in healthcare delivery: expanding equitable access to telehealth and virtual care for patients with limited English proficiency (LEP), and who are Deaf or hard of hearing. The integration helps reduce language barriers and supports clearer, more effective medical communication.

“Virtual care is a mainstay of digital health delivery, and language access must be available wherever care happens,” said Dipak Patel, CEO of GLOBO Language Solutions. “The Vidyo platform integration supports this by advancing GLOBO’s broader strategy of making multilingual interpreter support more accessible wherever care is delivered. By reducing workflow disruption and streamlining how interpreters can connect and join telehealth sessions, we aim to create a better virtual care experience for providers, interpreters, and patients alike.”

Vidyo’s high-performance, enterprise-grade video conferencing platform includes secure, scalable video calls, as well as software-based collaboration technology and product-based visual communication products. Designed to align with the way clinicians and staff already work, the GLOBO-Vidyo integration simplifies the workflow process of adding an interpreter to a telehealth session.

GLOBO’s Vidyo integration comes at a time of heightened national attention for solutions that help healthcare providers deliver equitable care in increasingly telehealth settings. Signed into law on February 3, 2026, the Supporting Patient Education and Knowledge (SPEAK) Act requires the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to develop and disseminate “best practice” guidance to strengthen language access in telemedicine and electronic health record (EHR) systems for LEP patients. Among the practices highlighted is integrating interpreter services into telehealth interactions.

“Rather than requiring clinicians and staff to step outside their existing workflows that engage patients or rely on cumbersome workarounds, our flexible Vidyo integration empowers users to invite an interpreter directly, in a simpler and more intuitive way,” said Francesca Mayr, Senior Vice President of Product, Innovation, and Experience. “We’ve applied that same approach with the interpreter experience, making it easier to join telehealth appointments so they can focus on facilitating communication with providers and patients, not navigating complex technology.”

About Enghouse VidyoHealth

Vidyo is a subsidiary of Enghouse Systems Limited, a software and services company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:ENGH). Vidyo enriches people’s lives by embedding real-time video into digital communications in the moments that matter most. Millions of people around the world connect visually every day through Vidyo’s secure, scalable technology and cloud-based services. Its patented platform integrates with virtually any application environment, network, and device to deliver the highest quality experiences that strengthen teams, build trust, solidify relationships, and improve quality of life.

New Jersey Department of Education Recognizes Five School Districts for Outstanding Second Language Programs

State of New Jersey Department of Education symbol

The New Jersey Department of Education has recognized five districts for their outstanding second language programs. The districts, which were honored at a ceremony in Trenton, will serve as models of best practices in dual language immersion and world language education programs.

The Department developed criteria and reviewed applications to designate the exemplary second language programs. The programs were identified through a process involving extensive review, which included a site visit conducted by Department officials and a team of educators from around the state.

“Research in cognitive science shows that learning and using more than one language strengthens the brain and builds essential skills such as attention, flexibility, problem-solving, and self-regulation,” said Dr. Lily Laux, Commissioner of Education. “Beyond these academic and developmental benefits, investing in multilingualism empowers young people to better understand the communities around them, build meaningful connections, honor diverse perspectives, and fully participate in a world where communication and cultural competence matter more than ever.”

“Multilingualism honors students’ sense of self, expands opportunities for students, and strengthens our communities,” said Kathy Goldenberg, President of the State Board of Education. “When learners are literate in their home language as well as an additional language, they have acquired tools that open doors for post-secondary success, whether it is in college, career, the military, or any other pursuit in life.”

Model programs will be open to educators and administrators from other school districts, who can discuss ideas with their colleagues and can visit the model programs to observe exemplary practices in second language instruction.

Of the six awards, three were presented for dual language immersion programs, which provide literacy and subject-area instruction to all students through two languages, and three awards were for world language programs, which deliver content and instruction in a language other than English for a designated time during the school day.

Dual Language Immersion Award recipients:

  •  Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HoLA) – K-8 Spanish One Way Immersion
  •  North Plainfield School District – K-4 Spanish One Way Immersion and K-4 Spanish Two Way Immersion
  • West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District – K-5 Spanish Two Way Immersion and Chinese Two Way Immersion

World Language Award recipients:

  • Egg Harbor Township – Hispanohablantes/Heritage Speaker Program
  • Summit Public School District – K-5 World Languages
  • West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District – 2-12 World Languages

Additional information about each program and instruction on how to schedule a visit is available on the Department’s Model Programs website.

TransPerfect Releases 2026 Business Outlook Report: AI Is Now the Standard for Global Content Operations

0
TRANSPERFECT

TransPerfect, one of the world’s largest providers of language and AI solutions for global business, has announced the release of the 2026 Business Outlook Report: Global Content in the Age of AI. Published by TransPerfect’s GlobalLink® Technology Group, the report is based on a survey of 96 enterprise leaders across operations, marketing, localization, and IT, and examines how global organizations are managing multilingual content in 2026.

The headline finding: AI has moved from experiment to infrastructure. Nearly three-quarters of respondents say AI strategies and automation are a top priority this year. A clear majority already use AI in their localization workflows, and 69% are actively piloting or have embedded AI across their broader operations. Organizations adopting AI see compounding gains in speed, cost efficiency, and scale, enabled by advances in generative AI, automated quality estimation, and large language models trained specifically for translation.

Adoption is happening amid tightening expectations across global content operations. Forty percent of respondents forecast flat localization budgets, yet leadership is demanding higher throughput, better personalization, and faster time-to-market. The result is a clear mandate: do more with less. The report finds that the organizations succeeding have centralized workflows, paired AI with human expertise, and built governance frameworks that allow them to scale with confidence.

The report also surfaces a critical gap: one in four organizations still don’t measure the business impact of multilingual content. Without clear metrics tied to outcomes like conversion, engagement, and time-to-market, it’s difficult to quantify the value AI is delivering or make the case for further investment.

TransPerfect President and Co-CEO Phil Shawe commented, “Our clients are long past the discovery and pilot phases— and are now implementing AI solutions across the enterprise. For any executive in this position, perusing this new report will be time well spent.”

The full report includes guidance on scaling AI, optimizing budgets, closing measurement gaps, and building cross-functional alignment to turn global content into a competitive advantage.

It is the first solution to bring the full brand lifecycle, from creation through to enforcement, into a single unified system.

We are delighted to welcome the Obviously team into the Group.”

Lewis Whiting, CEO of Obviously, added: “This is an important milestone in Obviously’s journey and a testament to the position we have built by working closely with some of the world’s most recognized brands. Joining RWS gives us the scale, global client reach and complementary IP and localization capabilities to deliver legal brand guardianship at a level we could not have reached alone.
